Teeth Whitening
Serving Myrtle Beach, Conway, and North Myrtle Beach areas of South Carolina
Teeth whitening is among the most common cosmetic dental procedures today, and thanks to its popularity, a quick trip through your local supermarket can provide you with a dizzying array of options for achieving a whiter smile. Toothpaste, mouthwash, and take-home whitening kits are readily available, but only an experienced Conway teeth whitening dentist can truly get your teeth their whitest and brightest.
At Carolina Center for Cosmetic & Restorative Dentistry, our cosmetic dentists are happy to offer a teeth whitening solution to meet every need and budget. We will work closely with you to provide you with the teeth whitening product most suited to your unique needs.
Teeth Whitening Options
Our experienced teeth whitening dentists provide two options to meet your individual needs:
- BrightSmile – One of the most advanced teeth whitening systems available, BrightSmile is an in-office procedure. Using patented blue-light technology, our dentists are able to safely whiten your teeth by several shades in as little as one hour.
The process for BrightSmile is simple and effective. A whitening solution is applied to your teeth followed by a solution enhancing light. This process is not only quick, but it greatly reduces the gum and tooth sensitivity that can be associated with other whitening procedures.
- Opalescence Take-home kits – A popular choice for our patients who prefer the convenience of whitening at home. Using custom created trays, the bleaching solution is applied once daily for one or two weeks. Unlike store bought kits, the custom-fitted mouth guard in the Opalescence take-home kit evenly distributes the whitening solution and seals out saliva to provide even and complete whitening for all of your teeth. Additionally, the solution in these kits is professional strength, and much more effective than anything currently available over the counter, providing superior whitening results.
Teeth whitening is not a permanent solution. While your teeth will be noticeably whiter and brighter, you may need to come in for touchups depending on your habits. Lifestyle choices like smoking, drinking coffee and tea, and eating certain foods can accelerate the staining process, but proper at-home oral care and biannual visits to our general dentists can help ensure your results last as long as possible.
